Are you curious about how science reaches the public? Wondering what it takes to turn complex research into stories that inform and inspire?
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming jNWG BrainTalk on science communication, featuring two amazing speakers who bring neuroscience beyond the lab and into the public eye.
Our first speaker, Carolin Wagener, followed an inspiring path from neuroscience into science journalism. After completing her Master’s in Neuroscience, she began working in medical science journalism at Thieme Verlag. She is now a product manager for Gehirn und Geist and Spektrum – Die Woche, both part of Spektrum der Wissenschaft, where she plays a key role in shaping how scientific topics are communicated to the public.
Our second speaker, Dr. Verena Schuster, is a neuroscientist at the University of Marburg and an author for Inquisitive Mind. Alongside her academic work, she has been actively engaged in science communication since her Master’s, driven by her passion for making neuroscience accessible to a wider audience.
Together, they will share insights into their career paths, discuss the importance of science communication, and explore how neuroscientists can engage with audiences beyond academia.
